I was born to be a teacher! I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t dreaming of teaching, actually teaching or planning how to get back to a classroom. I grew up in North Carolina and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology. I taught in the public schools before my children were born and while I was staying home to care for them, I began teaching Sunday School for the kindergarteners. When my younger son, Ellis, turned four, I taught preschool at Playwise Preschool Academy in Huntersville and absolutely loved it! My philosophy on children and education has evolved since my first year in the classroom and I can’t wait to share my passion and love for children with the families in our community.
